Our client, a well established manufacturer are currently seeking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Production Supervisor

Must be a process driven , results motivated individual who prides them selves on a structured approach and their attention to detail , must have proven experience in Managing a team of people

Key responsibilities

  • Recruit and select the right team members
  • Oversee the induction of new members into the team
  • Build team skills through skills assessment, training, feedback and support
  • Manage on-going performance of direct reports
  • Identify those who have the interest and ability to progress into bigger or different roles
  • Manage grievance/disciplinary issues as required with support of HR as necessary
  • Facilitate and execute structured practical problem solving and other appropriate CI methodologies with team members, collaborating with key stakeholders in the business to improve line efficiency
  • Organisation of optimisation of labour
  • Product design and delivery
  • Manage health & safety
  • Manage process reliability
  • Analyse & report conversion performance metrics

Essentials for this role;

  • Have the understanding and able to apply in live situations the principles and tools of lean manufacture in the production line context with a sound knowledge of in-line processes and technology deployed.
  • Must have the ability to manage and build a strong performing team (Up to 50 people) and have a proven track record doing so in a similar role
  • Must be able to adapt and follow very structured and formal processes
  • Must be forward thinking and be able to work at a fast pace
