TOR2 is a ground breaking joint partnership between Torbay Council and May Gurney, which is responsible for delivering a wide range of essential front-line services to the residents of Torbay.
One of the first and most noticeable service improvements will be to Torbay's recycling and waste collection services. The service change will commence on 6th September 2010 and will help Torbay increase recycling and cut down on the amount of waste ending up in landfill sites with residents able to recycle up to 85% of their waste.
The Driving role will primarily involve operating a compartmental recycling vehicle, servicing local collection rounds. Experience is not essential, however, a knowledge of this type of work would be an advantage. Early start (6am), you will be working with a team of loaders. A short driving assessment will be required prior to you starting work. £8.52 per hour. Personal Digital Tacho are required for this role but can be arranged during the recruitment process. Permanent contracts may be offered to suitable candidates. We are looking for approximately 20 staff!
