HGV Class 2 Driver

Immediate Start. The driving role will involve driving an established route within Torbay, and servicing local collection rounds, and will include assisting with the loading of refuse. Early start (6am). Experience is not essential, however, a knowledge of this type of work would be an advantage. A short driving assessment will be required prior to you starting work. £8.52 per hour for a 40 hour week with overtime paid on hours over 40. A current Personal Digital Tacho is essential for this role. Permanent contracts may be offered to suitable candidates.
TOR2 is a ground breaking joint partnership between Torbay Council and May Gurney, which is responsible for delivering a wide range of essential front-line services to the residents of Torbay.
One of the and most noticeable service improvements is to Torbay's recycling and waste collection services. The service has helped Torbay increase recycling and cut down on the amount of waste ending up in landfill sites with residents able to recycle up to 85% of their waste.
