Machine Operator

My client a global leader in their Market are looking to expand their team at there site in Paignton. They are looking to recruit a permanent Machine Operator, ideally with a print background or knowledge of Flexography.

The right candidate will work across their 2nd shift and support a team of 8 operators. You will manage your own machine, ensuring safety and quality requirements are met, and help and support to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations and requirements whilst optimising efficiency.

You will:

  • Set and operate production equipment
  • Monitor the production process and carry out quality checks
  • Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas, so a keen interests in mechanics will ensure your success within the role.
  • Report equipment faults to supervisor
  • Enter relevant data onto shuttlecock data flow, to record product produced, quantities, material used, time taken. This will assist with the generation and measurement of the operations KPI’s
  • To identify and pursue opportunities for improvement
  • To provide support to the Production Manager

The shift patterns are Monday-Wednesday 14.30pm-12.30 (Midnight) and Thursday 14.30pm-Midnight. Friday-Sunday off. Overtime is available and paid at 1.425.

Maintenance Engineer

My client a leading digital print business is in the market for 2 Maintenance Engineers. The role is responsible for ensuring that the internal and external customer demands are achieved, quality standards are met, and labour efficiencies are maximised within a safe working environment.


As a member of the Engineering Team the successful applicants will be hands on in their approach to machine maintenance on a day to day basis whilst collaboratively driving continuous improvement within the Engineering Department and with Production.


Applicants must possess:

  • GCSE grade A-C in Maths, English and Science, or equivalent qualification
  • Higher Level Education or Comparable experience
  • HNC/OCN is desirable
  • Experience and confident in using Microsoft office packages
  • Understanding and exposure to the principles and tools of lean manufacturing
  • Excellent knowledge of production processes
  • Strong fault-finding capabilities
  • A “can do” attitude in meeting challenges and resolving problems
  • Adaptability to be successful in a changing environment
  • Experienced and confident in using Microsoft office packages, particularly Word and Excel.


This is a permanent post working across 3 shifts patterns. The department currently must cover six days out of seven, so you would be required to work Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday but no more than 5 days straight unless overtime is required due to business needs.

The Maintenance engineers are expected to cover both shifts patterns, either: 06:00-14.30pm or 14.00pm-22.30.

The right applicant will also be able to work once a month on a night shift, to support business needs, which is typically busier at the end of each month. The night shift is rotated between the dept to ensure its fair. The hours are 10.30pm-6.00am (Our client pays an enhanced rate for night shift)

Overtime is expected at times due to business needs, or to provide extra cover when annual leave is taken by team members. Any over overtime is paid at 1.5 as well as the enhanced rate for night shifts worked.

Fitter / Vehicle Technician

Our client is a leading supplier of Wheelchair Accessible Cars, Taxis, Minibuses and Vehicle Adaptations across the UK. They are looking for new additions to join the Mechanic and Fitting team that will bring ideas, enthusiasm and drive, and people that want to build a lasting career with them.

This will be a temporary position to start but for the right applicant will lead to a permanent role. The right candidates will have the following:

– Excellent time keeping

– Initiative to work alone as well as successfully within a team
– Effective written and oral communication skills
– Willingness to embrace change

– A full driving licence is essential

– Own their own tools (Basic Hand tools)
– Hold experience of working with vehicle electrics or mechanical / engineering background

This will be a full-time position working 8.00am-5.00pm Monday-Friday.

Hourly Rate: £8.50 – £9.00.

Our client, a large trade manufacture is in the market or experienced Fabricators to work on a temporary basis.

Due to new business wins my client is looking to expand his team of fabricators. Initially these roles will start out as temporary positions but could lead to permanent work for the right applicant.My client operates two shift patterns: Day shift and PM shift Monday-Friday both offering competitive rates of pay.
